Hauxley is a Northumberland Wildlife Trust reserve, located South of Amble. Our Young Rangers were given a tour around the reserve with ornithologist Tim Mason to learn more about the wading birds and the importance of the reserve. We assisted Tim to feed the wildfowl, cleaned and filled wild bird feeders around the reserve. We also helped the Wildlife Trust install squirrel feeders for the resident Red Squirrels.

"I met some wonderful people and really felt that my work helped make a difference to my local area."
