Join RSPB Assistant Warden and Coast Care volunteer David Kinchin-Smith for a free informative talk on Coquet Island, which he lives and works on for six months each year. Coquet is a vibrant seabird sanctuary off the coast at Amble, which is home to the UK’s only Roseate tern breeding colony. It is also an important site for nesting Atlantic puffins and Common, Sandwich and Arctic terns. This will be a rare opportunity to learn about the birdlife on the island and the conservation work being done there, since public landing is not permitted because of the islands importance.
