Introduction to plant identification and surveying techniques guided by Andrew Diamond and Coast Care staff, with a focus on the meadow plants found at the Embleton Quarry site.

Suitable for beginners and novices as well as more experienced plant identifiers.

Survey equipment and plant ID guides provided for the day. Further guided days will be led at this site and other Coast Care sites to provide more experience and encourage confidence in ID to support independent surveying in the future. 

Wear suitable footwear and clothing for being outdoors in all weathers and bring lunch. There are no toilets on site.

Location

Parking is available on site at Embleton Quarry - opposite the garage on Quakers Row, NE66 3XS, there is an access gate on the left, drive through and parking is on site (access only at start time).
