Coast Care are working with Embleton Parish Council on the Embleton Quarry Nature Reserve to run a Bioblitz to identify and record a range of species.
For those of you that don't know what a Bioblitz is, it is an intense period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area.
From 7pm-11pm on Friday 28th August and 7am-5pm on Saturday 29th August, we will have workshops for a variety of different species such as a bat walk, moth trapping, plant surveying, bumblebee walk, small mammal trapping.
This is a great chance to brush up on your ID skills and make a difference providing valuable data for Northumberland.
